Burning books and newspapers containing Islamic texts

The question:

Is it permissible to burn books, newspapers and publications containing Qur'anic verses or prophetic hadiths?

The answer:

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Peace and blessing be upon whom Allah sent as a mercy to the Worlds, upon his Family, his Companions and his Brothers till the Day of Resurrection.

It is permissible to burn books, newspapers and publications that contain Qur'anic verses or prophetic hadiths, since the Companions رضي الله عنهم burnt all the copies of the Qur’an that were different from that of `Uthmân رضي الله عنه ,though they contained Qur'anic verses.

The perfect knowledge belongs to Allah عزَّ وجلَّ. Our last prayer is all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Peace and blessing be upon our Prophet صلَّى الله عليه وسلَّم, his Family, his Companions and Brothers till the Day of Resurrection.
