In the ruling concerning masturbating for a medical purpose

Question:

Is it permissible to masturbate for the purpose of a medical test (semen analysis)? May Allah bless you.       

Answer:

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. Peace and blessing be upon whom Allah sent as a mercy to the Worlds, upon his Family, his Companions and his Brothers till the Day of Resurrection:

It is permissible to resort to masturbation for a medical purpose forasmuch as it is necessary not for seeking pleasure and enjoyment, according to the jurisprudential rule: “What is prohibited because it is a way that leads to a prohibited thing, is permissible for necessity”.
